Reade McCardell is an unsigned composer and musician hailing from the Northeastern United States. He has spent time in a handful of bands, crafted incidental music for several independent films, and contributed backing vocals and instrumentation to multifarious albums and shows. The past 6-or-so years have seen him pursuing solo ventures and taking on the role of producer for several recording projects. Reade has worked with a fascinating cast of characters, including but not limited to: Shelly Yakus (former chief engineer and vice president of A&M Records known for engineering records for the likes of Warren Zevon, Raspberries and John Lennon), Phil Nicolo (engineering, mixing and/or production BoySetsFire, Foreigner and The Police) and Glenn Barratt (producer Melody Gardot). His first solo full-length album, ‘Frets’, was independently released in 2015 and can be found on iTunes and CD Baby.
